Auto-saved "Past picks" 🔁
We've all been there: you spend a credit on a great set of recommendations, only for them to vanish because you accidentally refreshed the app or looked for a different vibe. Not anymore.
Every set of spots Tummi picks for you is now automatically saved for 30 days. Whether you restart the app or run a brand new search, your previous picks are waiting for you.
What's new:
-
Past picks card: A new card on the "Pick for Me" screen shows your history. Tap it to open a drawer with every past run, labeled by time and your specific search criteria (like "Near me · Dinner · Open now").
-
Fully interactive history: Past picks aren't just a list—they're alive. You can tap through to a place, bookmark it for later, or see the original "why we picked this" reasoning.
-
Synced ratings: Rating a place updates it everywhere instantly, including the current batch and any past runs that suggested the same spot.
- Bookmark states: Fixed a bug where places you'd already saved appeared as unsaved in "Pick for Me" results. They now correctly reflect your saved status everywhere.
Plan trips together 🤝
Planning a trip is always better with friends. You can now add collaborators to a trip and build your itinerary side by side in real-time.
Adding your crew 👯♀️Ready to start planning? Here is how to get your friends involved:
-
Open a trip you own and tap Add people (or the avatar stack) to open the People sheet.
-
Pick from your friends — you can add up to 10 people you follow who follow you back.
-
Right after you create a trip, we'll give you a quick prompt to add people. If you're not ready, just tap Maybe later.
-
Note on privacy: Private trips can't have collaborators. You'll need to make the trip friends-only or link-visible first. If you switch a trip back to private later, collaborators will be removed, though the places they added will stay.
Everyone on a trip has the power to shape the journey. Any collaborator can:
-
Add and remove places, reorder days, and edit destinations or dates.
-
Rename the trip and change the cover photo to match the vibe.
-
Find the trip easily in the Yours tab, marked as Shared by [Owner].
To keep things organized, only the owner can delete the trip, change overall privacy settings, remove collaborators, or run the AI planner.
Stay in the loop 🔔You won't have to guess what's changed since you last logged in:
-
Activity updates: Shared trips show a recent-activity line (like "Maya added 2 places · 3h ago") so you can see what's new at a glance.
-
Attribution: Places added by others will show their avatar right on the thumbnail.
-
Notifications: You'll get a ping the moment someone adds you to a trip, taking you straight to the itinerary.
Plans change! You can leave a trip at any time by tapping the three dots (⋯) next to your name in the People sheet. If you leave, anything you added stays on the trip for the rest of the group. Owners can also remove collaborators using the same menu.
Profile Navigation Improvements & More
We’ve made it much faster to revisit your favorite spots and look back at where you’ve eaten.
Your profile just got a little more helpful. Instead of digging through menus to find your past visits, you can now get there in a single tap:
- One-tap access: Just click the Rated tile on your profile to jump straight to your full list of rated restaurants.
Whether you’re trying to remember the name of that amazing taco joint or showing a friend your top picks, it’s all right there waiting for you. Happy dining!
Feed Refresh & Navigation Fixes
-
Fixed: Pull to refresh on the feed now actually loads new activity. Previously, the refresh could be dropped the moment it started, leaving you looking at stale posts — sometimes with a "Refreshing failed" message, sometimes silently.
-
Fixed: Leaving a screen while it's still loading no longer shows a pesky error message.
Saved places are now Bookmarks 🔖
We picked one word. Everywhere you used to see "Saved," you'll now see "Bookmark" — on feed cards, on place pages, and in your notification settings. It's simpler, clearer, and feels more like home.
What's new:
-
New Bookmarks Tab: Bookmarks is now its own tab in My List, right next to Ratings, instead of a banner tucked inside Collections.
-
Better Management: Your bookmarks are all still there, plus search, filters, and the map view. The map's filter chips say "Bookmarked" now, too.
-
Space for everything: "All Ratings" is now just "Ratings," and the four tabs fit without getting cut off on smaller screens (no more awkward scrolling in the header).
-
Fresh Feed: Pull to refresh actually refreshes! The feed used to serve stale copies of what you'd already seen; now it always fetches the latest. If a refresh fails, we'll let you know instead of leaving you hanging.
-
Smart Re-rating: Rating a place again starts where you left it. Re-rating now opens on the tier you gave it last time, rather than resetting to default.
-
Better Icons: Korean barbecue joints were showing a wine glass, and some coffee shops were showing a cake. Category icons now actually match the place.
-
UI Fixes: Filters now open over the full screen in Bookmarks, and tapping "bookmarked N places" in the feed works anywhere on the row.
-
Web: Updated the button to "Download on the App Store" for better clarity.
-
Copy cleanups: Smarter casing for "Pick for Me" and "One-Time Code."
iOS Version 2.3.0 Update: Map Widget Fix
We fixed a frustrating bug where clicking on a widget and then heading to the map would result in a blank screen with no saved places. Now, your favorite spots will show up exactly where they should be.
What's changed:
-
Fixed an issue where saved places wouldn't load when navigating from a widget to the map
-
Improved transition reliability between the home screen and map view
Saved Places Overhaul: Filters & Maps 📍
We know your "Saved Places" list can get pretty long (we've seen some of yours!). To help you actually find that one bistro you saved six months ago, we’ve added powerful new ways to filter and view your spots on iOS.
What’s new:
-
City & Cuisine Filters: You can now filter your list by city or type of food. The best part? The filters are smart—they only show up if you have enough variety to actually need them.
-
Map View from List: Want to see your saved spots on a map? Tap the new "Map" button in your list to see all your pins at once. It even carries over your active filters so you only see what you’re looking for.
-
Map Category Chips: Once you're on the map, you can quickly toggle between "All", "Rated", or "Saved" spots using the new capsule chips at the top.
-
Live Filter Counts: No more guessing. Buttons now show exactly how many filters you have active (e.g., "Filter · 3").
Improvements & Polishing:
-
Better Search: We’ve improved how pagination works. When you search or filter, the app now smartly fetches all your items so you don't miss anything.
-
Redesigned Filter Sheet: The filter menu now looks cleaner, fits better on your screen, and has a dedicated close button.
-
Snappier Controls: We fixed a pesky bug where labels in the selection pills would sometimes wrap to two lines. Everything stays neat and readable now.
Search Improvements & Bug Fixes 🔍
Finding the perfect spot just got a whole lot smoother. We've overhauled how search works to make sure you're getting the best results, exactly when you need them.
-
Live suggestions: Search now suggests places as you type, powered by Google's live autocomplete. This means better, faster matches, including places that haven't even made it into Tummi yet.
-
Smarter collections: Adding places to a collection or trip now uses the same live, autocomplete-driven search, making it much quicker to build your itineraries.
-
Dynamic results: Search results now update automatically when you change your search location or city. No more manual refreshing.
- Fixed a frustrating bug where the bottom sheet wouldn't pop up high enough, hiding what you were typing behind the keyboard. You can now actually see what you're writing!
Collections, Search UI, and AI Fixes 🚀
Ever wonder where a cool spot fits into the bigger picture? Now, place pages show up to 5 collections that include that specific spot. It’s the easiest way to discover new themed lists or see what your friends are saying about a place.
How it works:
-
Privacy first: You'll only see collections you already have access to. Private lists stay private.
-
Smart sorting: We prioritize collections from your friends and lists with the most saves.
-
Personal touch: Your own collections are clearly labeled "By you" so you can find your way back home.
We’ve cleaned up the search experience to make finding (and re-finding) places much smoother.
-
Spot your favorites: Places you’ve already rated now show a refresh icon on the "Rate" button in search and AI recommendations. No more guessing if you've been there before.
-
Precise matching: We’ve tightened up search results. Loose partial-word matches are gone, meaning less clutter and more of what you actually typed.
-
Polished recommendations: AI blurbs are now shorter and more consistent. Plus, recommendation cards are now a uniform height with wider layouts, so they don't jump around while you scroll.
-
AI Access: Fixed a bug where some eligible users were locked out of AI recommendations and trip planning. Everyone who should have access now does!
-
Snappy Ratings: Rating a place from search or AI recs now updates the UI immediately—no more manual refreshing needed.
-
Clean Slates: If you delete all your ratings for a place, it correctly counts as "unrated" again.
Collapsing Navigation & Faster City Search 🎨
We know that screen real estate is precious, especially when you’re diving deep into your content. We’ve redesigned the main navigation to get out of your way so you can focus on what matters most.
-
Smart Hiding: As you scroll down to explore, the tab bar tucks away into a compact pill. It springs back to full size the moment you scroll back up.
-
Silky Smooth Interaction: We’ve rebuilt the scrolling logic to be fluid and natural. It ignores accidental side-swipes and tiny jitters, so it only moves when you want it to.
-
Context Aware: The bar always returns to full size when you switch tabs, so you never lose your place.
We’ve given our sub-navigation a fresh coat of paint! Our goal was to reduce visual noise and make the app feel more cohesive, no matter which screen you’re on.
-
The "Quiet" Treatment: We’ve replaced bulky sliders with a minimalist weight shift and a subtle orange-to-pink dash. It’s easier on the eyes and keeps the focus on your lists.
-
Consistent Everywhere: From Search and My Lists to your Profile stats, everything now shares the same sleek look.
-
Better Spacing: Tabs are now left-aligned and hug their labels, making better use of your screen width.
Updating your profile shouldn't feel like a chore. We fixed a few quirks in the city search to make it feel instant and reliable.
-
Twice as Fast: We cut the search delay by more than half. Suggestions now appear roughly twice as fast as before.
-
No More Disappearing Acts: Picking a city now commits immediately. Even if you dismiss the keyboard quickly, your choice sticks.
-
Visual Feedback: We added a loading spinner inside the field so you know exactly when the app is looking up those place details for you.
